IT'S FRIDAY TAKE A SMILE.

It's Friday! Take a Smile...
There are many acts of worship which are prescribed for the Muslim to do on this day. These include:
1 – Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer)
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu‘ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allaah [Jumu‘ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know!”
[al-Jumu’ah 62:9]
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in Zaad al-Ma’aad (1/376):
Friday prayer is one of the most important obligations in Islam, and one of the greatest gatherings of the Muslims. Gathering on Friday is more important and more obligatory than any other gathering apart from ‘Arafah. Whoever neglects it, Allaah will place a seal on his heart.
It was narrated from Abu’l-Ja’d al-Damari – who was a companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever neglects three Jumu’ahs, Allaah will place a seal on his heart.”
Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1052; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 928
It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar and Abu Hurayrah that they heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say on the minbar:
“Let people stop neglecting Jumu’ah, or Allaah will place a seal on their hearts, then they will be among those who are neglectful.”
Narrated by Muslim, 865.
2 – Making a lot of du’aa’.
On this day there is a time when a person’s Lord will answer his du’aa’ – by Allaah’s leave.
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mentioned Friday and said: “On this day there is a time when no Muslim stands and prays, asking Allaah for something, but Allaah will grant him it” – and he gestured with his hands to indicate how short that time is.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 893; Muslim, 852
3 – Reading Soorat al-Kahf
It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed al-Khduri that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on Friday, he will be illuminated with light between the two Fridays.” Narrated by al-Haakim; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 836
4 – Sending a lot of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of your days is Friday. On that day Adam (peace be upon him) was created; on that day he died; on that day the Trumpet will be blown; and on that day all of creation will swoon. So send a great deal of blessings upon me, for your blessings will be shown to me.” They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, how will our blessings upon you be shown to you when you have turned to dust?” He said, “Allaah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets, peace be upon them.”
Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1047; classed as saheeh by Ibn al-Qayyim in his comments on Sunan Abi Dawood, 4/273; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 925.
He said in ‘Awn al-Ma’bood
Friday is singled out because it is the best of days and the chosen day. So there is an advantage to sending blessings upon him on that day that is not present on any other day.
Along with these virtues and acts of worship, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade singling out Friday for fasting, or singling out the night of Friday for doing acts of worship that are not narrated in sharee’ah.
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not single out the night of Friday for qiyaam al-layl, and do not single out the day of Friday for fasting, unless that is part of the habitual fasting of any one of you.”
(Narrated by Muslim, 1144).
Al-San’aani said in Subul al-Salaam
This hadeeth indicates that it is haraam to single out the night of Friday for worship or reading Qur’aan that is not one’s regular custom, apart from that which is indicated in the texts, such as reading Soorat al-Kahf.
Al-Nawawi said:
This hadeeth clearly states that it is forbidden to single out the night of Friday for prayer or the day of Friday for fasting. It is agreed (among the scholars) that this is makrooh.
He also said:
The scholars said that the reason why it is forbidden to single out Friday for fasting is that Friday is a day of du’aa’, dhikr and worship, such as ghusl, going early to the prayer, waiting for the prayer, listening to the khutbah and reciting a lot of dhikr afterwards, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Then when the (Jumu‘ah) Salaah (prayer) is ended, you may disperse through the land, and seek the Bounty of Allaah (by working), and remember Allaah much”
[al-Jumu’ah 62:10]
And there are other acts of worship to be done on this day. So it is preferable not to fast then, as this will help a person to perform these duties in an energetic manner and enjoy them without feeling bored or tired. This is like the pilgrim on the day of ‘Arafah in ‘Arafah, because the Sunnah is for him not to fast on that day for the same reason… This is the reason for not allowing singling out Friday for  fasting. And it was said that the reason is so that people will not go to extremes in venerating it as happened in the case of Saturday. But this view is weak, because on that day we offer Jumu’ah prayer and do other acts of worship which are a kind of veneration. And it was said that the reason for its prohibition is so that people would not think that this was obligatory. This is also a weak view because it is encouraged to fast on Mondays and there was no fear that anyone would think it was obligatory. No attention should be paid to this far-fetched view. The same argument is applicable in the case of fasting the day of ‘Arafah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, etc. The correct view is that which we have stated above.
And Allaah knows best.

Happy Friday

Either some people stop neglecting the Friday prayers, or Allah will seal their hearts and they will be among the heedless.” (Muslim)

11. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

If you say to your companion: Listen attentively on a Friday when the Imam is delivering the khutbah, then you have engaged in idle talk.” (Muslim)

12. Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

Do not choose the Friday night among all other nights for Qiyam (night vigil prayer,) and do not choose Friday among all other days for fasting except that one of you have accustomed to.” (Muslim)

Surah KAHF has Four stories in it.

1) The People Of The Cave Its the story of young men who lived in a disbelieving town, so they decided to migrate for the sake of ALLAH (SUBHANAHU WA TA'ALAH) and run away. ALLAH (SUBHANAHU WA TA'ALAH) rewards them with mercy in the cave and protection from the sun. They woke up (over 300 years later) and found the entire village believers. MORAL:TRIAL OF FAITH. 2) The Owner Of Two Gardens A story of a man whom ALLAH (SUBHANAHU WA TA'ALAH) blessed with two beautiful gardens, but the man forgot to thank the ONE who blessed him with everything and he even dared to doubt ALLAH (SUBHANAHU WA TA'ALAH) regarding the afterlife. So his garden was destroyed - he regretted ,but was too late and his regret did not benefit him. MORAL:TRIAL OF WEALTH. 3) Musa(ALAYHIS SALAAM) and Khidr(ALAYHIS SALAAM) When Musa(ALAYHIS SALAAM) was asked-“Who’s the most knowledgeable of the people of earth?” Musa(ALAYHIS SALAAM) said: "Me"...,but ALLAH (SUBHANAHU WA TA'ALAH) revealed to him that there’s someone who Knows more than him. Musa(ALAYHIS SALAAM) traveled to the man and learnt how the Divine Wisdom can sometimes be hidden in matters which we perceive as bad. MORAL:TRIAL OF KNOWLEDGE. 4) Dhul-Qarnayn Its a story of the great King that was given knowledge and power and was going around the world, helping people and spreading all that's good. He was able to overcome the problem of Yajooj-Majooj and build a massive dam with the help of people whom he could not even understand.

And I did not create Jinn and Mankind except to worship me. -Qur'an [51:56]

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم The greatest Ni'ma of Allah for his Slave in this world is the Ni'ma of Al Islam. As Allah says وَ مَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَ الْاِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوْنَ And I did not create Jinn and Mankind except to worship me. This Ni'ma of Islam allows us to worship Allah as he commanded us to worship him and allows us to draw nearer to him, if we didn't have it we would be of those who Allah addressed وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الإِسْلاَمِ دِينًا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers. Look at how Allah has blessed you with this Deen, this Islam, this religion you take for granted. Many of the muslims who are born into the religion, and even some reverts who have lost their way, they have become lax in the religion and take it as a joke. Even when Allah says وَ مَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ And it is not a joke. They forget that Islam is a Ni'ma in itself from Allah, and they think that is a religion for the boring, a religion of prohibitions and commands. سبحان الله And this mentality has created a lot of Fitnah today in our communities. People forget the very Ni'ma of the oxygen they breathe is from Allah, and that while they sin, Allah could cut off their oxygen. And He gives you of all you ask of Him. And if you count Allah's favours, you will not be able to number them. Surely man is very unjust, very ungrateful. سبحان الله Reflect, for the blessing of Islam, have you ever given Shukr to Allah? For oxygen? For a working body? Contemplate, the many people who have no use in their legs or have a mental illness, do they not remind you of your Blessings? Ya Ibn Adam! Allah has given you the Ni'ma of Islam without you asking, so you could act in order to earn the Jannah that you do ask for today. So do what you must, and be grateful. How many ungrateful souls lie regretful? اللهم ثبت قلوبنا على دينك و اجعلنا من الاهل الجنة . امين يارب العالمين

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
The greatest Ni'ma of Allah for his Slave in this world is the Ni'ma of Al Islam.
As Allah says

وَ مَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَ الْاِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوْنَ

This Ni'ma of Islam allows us to worship Allah as he commanded us to worship him and allows us to draw nearer to him, if we didn't have it we would be of those who Allah addressed

Friday is the balance of week, Ramadan is the balance of the year and Hajj is the balance of the life.

Abu Huraira: I heard ALLAH's Messenger (PBUH) saying, " We ( Muslim) are the last (To come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So ALLAH gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the jews' (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians' (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e.Sunday)." Jami`at-Tirmidhi 682 Hadith 1 Abu Hurairah narrated that: the Messenger of ALLAH said:"One the first night of the month of Ramadan, the Shayatin are shackled, the jinns are restrained, the gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among would be opened. The gate of Paradise are opened such that no gate among then would be closed, and a caller: 'O seeker of the good; come near!' and 'O seeker of evil; stop! for there are those whom ALLAH frees from the Fire.'And that is every night." Sahih al-Bukhari 1516 Hadith 4 The Prophet ( PBUH) sent my brother.'Abdur Rahman with me to Tan'im for the 'Umra. and he made me ride on the packsaddle (of a camel). 'Umar said, "Be ready to travek for Hajj as it (Hajj) is one of the two kind of Jihad."

Importance of saying

During a Jumah Khutbah in a small town, an Imam talked about the significance of saying "Insha Allah" (which means if Allah wills) when planning to do something in the future. After a few days, a man who had also attended the Khutbah was going to buy a cow from the market. On the way, he met a friend who asked him where he was going. He told him about buying the cow but did not say Insha Allah in the end. His friend reminded him about the Khutbah and told him to say Insha Allah. However, this individual said that he had the money he needs and the energy to go to the market, thus, there is no point of saying Insha Allah as he will certainly buy the cow. He thought that saying Insha Allah will not make any difference.

When he reached the market, he found a cow that met his expectations. He burgained with the seller and came to a reasonable price. Finally, he decided to pay for the cow but was dumbfounded when he discovered that his money was missing. A thief had stolen the money while he was walking through the busy market. The cow seller asked him whether he was going to buy the cow or not. "Insha Allah, I will buy it next week," he said. When he reached home, his wife inquired about the cow. He told her about how he forgot to say Insha Allah, and also added, "Insha Allah, I wanted to buy the cow. But Insha Allah, my money was stolen. Insha Allah, I will buy it next week." His wife clarified to him that we should say Insha Allah for things that are yet to happen, not for those things that had already happened. He never forgot his "Insha Allah" again.
