  The month of Shaban is a special time when our deeds are presented to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "It is a month between Rajab and Ramadan that people neglect. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “When the call for the prayer is pronounced, Satan takes to his heels, passing wind with noise, When the call for the prayer is finished, he comes back. And when the Iqama is pronounced, he again takes to his heels, and after its completion, he returns to interfere between the (praying) person and his heart, saying to him. 'Remember this or that thing.' till the person forgets whether he has offered three or four rak`at: so if one forgets whether he has prayed three or four rak`at, he should perform two prostrations of Sahu (i.e. forgetfulness).” – Bukhari 3285

When a Muslim speaks, he speaks the truth, he speaks kindly, and he doesn’t utter falsehoods.

 

  A Muslim is known by his deeds and words. Don’t break the trust that people have put in you, and honor your promises.

  It is okay to ask for help whenever you are feeling stuck or facing a problem. No person has done everything on their own, everyone had people helping them to reach their goals.

  Take care of the intentions that you have behind your actions. Many people may perform the same action, but the intention behind it may be vastly different. Pray to Allah to purify your intentions, so that you may earn His blessings in everything you do. Dr. Bilal Philips arlene Kasami

 

 

Allah makes it clear in the Quran that hypocrisy is a huge sin, and hypocrites will be punished in the next life. So, we have to ensure that we don’t fall into that category, and work hard to remove any traces of hypocrisy from our lives to become true believers and be rewarded with an abode in Jannah.  

  Fix your character, and everything else will follow. Islam spread in many parts of the world because the local population was impressed and influenced by the character of the Muslim traders who visited their shores.

  Respect the sanctity of your home, and don’t share your private life on social media. Use it as a tool, not a necessity.

  Share your blessings with others, and Allah will give you more. When we are merciful and kind to His creation, He is merciful and kind to us.

When you sit down and think about all the things that you take for granted and all that you are blessed with, you will never stop thanking Allah for it.   Always keep learning, because learning is growth. Staying stuck in our ways without leveling up doesn’t serve us in any way while learning new skills makes us better versions of ourselves.

  Hard times befall everybody, and how you react to them determines your future. You can either complain and blame everyone else, and remain stuck there, or you can be patient and work hard to overcome the challenges and move up in life.
